- Stage 1: Online Assessments
After the application stage, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the Stage 1 assessments. Stage 1 comprises of two basic parts: a series of online assessments and a video interview. Stage 1 should only take a total of about 40 minutes to complete and you will have a 10-day timeframe to submit the results.
Timed cognitive test
This will be a timed test that is divided into three sections, covering verbal skills, numerical skills, and abstract reasoning respectively. You would have 4 minutes to complete each section.
Working style assessment
This segment will assess your approach to working and your preferred behaviour across key personality factors. It will not be timed, and generally only takes 10-12 minutes to complete. We celebrate and value diversity at OGOCG, so we encourage you to be yourself when responding to the working style questions.
- Stage 2: Final Assessment
This is the last assessment stage. It consists of a live online session with two professionals at OGOCG. During this session you will be asked to discuss your thoughts on a case study, which you will have a chance to review 48 hours prior to the session. You will need to read and prepare for this, but don’t worry, more information will be provided closer to the time. On the day of your assessment, you will be assigned a topic relating to your case study and then given 20 minutes (30 for non-native English speakers) to prepare a 10-minute presentation. This presentation will be followed by questions and additional scenarios from the assessors for up to 20 minutes. Once you have cleared this round, the early-year internship will be offered to you.
- Shell Internship
Following the successful completion of the assessments, you will be offered a place on the Internship programme.
During an Assessed Internship, you’ll have a formal mid-term review with your mentor and supervisor who will guide you through the process and help you get a clear sense of what it's like to work for our company. At the end of the internship, you'll also prepare a presentation based on the project you've been working on at OGOCG.
