A PhD internship can provide valuable hands-on experience and progress your professional development in many ways. If you’re in the final two years of your study, you are eligible for an opportunity to join OGOCG and expand your learning beyond the classroom.

What we look for
We’re looking for like-minded innovators who share a sharp intellect, a collaborative spirit and a drive for breaking new grounds.
During the internship, you’ll have a formal mid-term review with your mentor and supervisor. Following this, there will be a final review where you’ll be asked to complete an online simulation exercise and written task. You’ll also be asked to prepare a final presentation about your project. Succeed in your internship and you could be offered employment at O.
- Online Application
Please use the country website to check if there is a PhD internship opportunity in your region and/or country. Id there is an opening, apply by uploading the latest version of your CV/résumé and by filling out a short application form. This step is expedited if you have a LinkedIn profile.
- Stage 1: Online Assessment
After the application stage, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the Stage 1 assessments. Stage 1 comprises of two basic parts: a series of online assessments and a video interview. Stage 1 should only take a total of about 40 minutes to complete and you will have a 10-day timeframe to submit the results.
Timed cognitive test
This will be a timed test that is divided into three sections, covering verbal skills, numerical skills, and abstract reasoning respectively. You would have 4 minutes to complete each section.
Working style assessment
This segment will assess your approach to working and your preferred behaviour across key personality factors. It will not be timed, and generally only takes 10-12 minutes to complete. We celebrate and value diversity at OGOCG, so we encourage you to be yourself when responding to the working style questions.
On-Demand Video interview
This short, self-recorded video interview is an opportunity for you to tell us about yourself and your qualifications. You’ll also meet some of our current graduates who will ask you a series of competency-based questions, in the form of pre-recorded questions. You may record the interview at any internet-enabled location at a time most convenient to you. For each question, you’ll have 30 seconds to prepare and 3 minutes to record your answer.
- Stage 2: Final Assessment
After clearing the Stage 1, this is the final assessment stage: a live online session with two professionals at OGOCG. This session will involve you discussing your thoughts with us on a case study, which we will send to you prior to the session so as to give you time to prepare. You would also have to make a technical presentation on your area of major during the PhD during this session.
- PhD Internship
Passing the live virtual session could see you moving on to the next step, a PhD internship. You'll have a mentor and supervisor who will guide you through the process and help you get a clear sense of what it's like to work for our global company. Halfway through your internship you'll have a mid-term review followed by a range of exercises that include an online simulation exercise and written task. You'll also prepare a presentation based on the project you've been working on at OGOCG, before a final review.
